While in Scotland some years back, I was walking down the street and came across the most incredible picture painted on the pavement.

The artist had somehow managed to create an amazing 3D effect on the flat pavement surface.

The weird thing is if you approach the picture from the opposite side, it looks completely distorted. See what I mean in the pictures below.

Anyway, it turns out his name is Julian Beever and he is apparently one of the world's best artists in this medium.
I've found some pics of his work which I've included below. Amazing stuff!
